On May 1, 2024, the Okeechobee County School Board narrowed their search for the next superintendent by selecting their semi-finalist. Applicants #1, #3, #9, and #12 were selected as semi-finalist.
At the board meeting on March 19, the Okeechobee County School Board approved a list of qualities that were compiled from the community and staff forums that were held as well as the online community survey that was conducted. They also approved a list of minimum qualifications, contract terms and salary range for applicants applying for the superintendent position.
