⭐🌟This week's Employee Spotlight is on Hilda Morse from the Okeechobee Freshman Campus.
⭐Hilda is the Data Processor but began her career as a Substitute Teacher at Yearling Middle School.
🌟Hilda graduated from OHS in 1975 and 50 years later she is working for the same district that educated her, how amazing is that?
Hilda said "We are here for the students and if that doesn't motivate a person nothing will. They depend on us daily. I have been trying to retire for 3 years now and just have not been able to turn in that letter of resignation. It will be hard when I do because I just can't imagine not getting up every morning and coming to school."
Thank you for your many years of service Ms. Hilda! ❤

We hope everyone is safe following Hurricane Milton. As a reminder, Monday, October 14th is a Teacher Planning Day. We look forward to students returning to school on Tuesday, October 15th.

As our community begins to recover from the impact of Hurricane Milton, we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who stepped up to serve those in need over the past few days. A special shoutout goes to our amazing Okeechobee County School Board personnel, whose dedication ensured our schools were prepared before the storm and will be ready to welcome students back after. Your tireless efforts, hard work, and willingness to sacrifice time with your families to prepare our facilities and staff shelters mean everything to us. We are incredibly grateful for your unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of our community.
