A huge thank you to our amazing maintenance team! They’ve been hard at work replacing the signs out front, and our campus looks fantastic thanks to their efforts! 🖤

We’d like to give a big shoutout to Deputy Hernandez for stepping in to cover for Deputy Mitchell today! He jumped right in and joined our students for a game of basketball during recess. We’re so thankful for all of the amazing deputies who have been helping out while our wonderful Deputy Mitchell is away — they’ve been taking such great care of our school! 🖤💙

This afternoon, our school briefly initiated a shelter-in-place as a precautionary measure. Everyone remained safe and continued with classroom activities during this time. The situation was quickly resolved, and normal operations resumed shortly after. Thank you for your continued trust and support in keeping our school community safe.

Originally, Seminole had planned to recognize student achievements through a semester awards ceremony, based on discussions that took place last spring during the planning of our Parent and Family Engagement Plan. However, after receiving feedback from families, we understand the importance of celebrating quarterly accomplishments so loved ones can recognize their children at the conclusion of each quarter.

We hear you and are making adjustments accordingly. Because we need time to determine the best dates and give families enough notice to attend, Quarter 1 awards will take place in a few weeks, with tentative dates planned for the first week of November. Please be sure to check our newsletter this weekend, where we will share the finalized dates for all upcoming ceremonies.

📚✨ Mrs. Kristen’s students were hard at work today! They teamed up in pairs to tackle their subtraction assignments — showing great teamwork and problem-solving skills. Afterward, they shared their answers on the board to check for accuracy and celebrate their math success together! 🧮👏

📚 Members from Rotary Club of Okeechobee came and read to our Kindergarteners for National Literacy Month.! Our students were so engaged in the stories! We truly appreciated this special treat.
