Migrant Students Award Banquet

The Okeechobee County Schools, Migrant Education Department proudly celebrated 27 graduating seniors during the annual Harvest of Hope awards banquet, an evening dedicated to honoring the resilience, accomplishments, and bright futures of students in the Migrant Education Program.

This year’s graduating seniors achieved remarkable success.

100% of the migrant seniors have met all graduation requirements.

Among the graduates, two students rank in the top 25 of the graduating class and will earn their Associate of Arts degrees from Indian River State College while graduating from high school.

Collectively, the students completed an impressive academic workload this year alone, including:

12 Advanced Placement (AP) courses

35 dual-enrollment courses

21 Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses

In recognition of their achievements, students received more than 95 awards and prizes from 12 community partners, totaling more than $12,000 in scholarships, gifts, and support.
